A destination is the location where you send the output list of customers and content that the Customer Data Platform generates from your campaign.

Capabilities

The following are the capabilities of destination:

Allows you to configure destination locations for your specific CDP environment.
Allows destinations to include execution channels such as Email, Mobile, Social Media, Web Personalization, Ad Tech, Direct Mail, Customer Experience, or your own SFTP location.
Supports sending one campaign output to one or more destinations.

Use Cases

The following are the use cases of destination:

Send a list of customers and content to various activation channels for outbound marketing.
Send a list to your internal SFTP to view the list of customers extracted from CDP based on your campaign's criteria. You can use this for quality assurance before sending a campaign to an outbound marketing channel.
Send the campaign audience with segments and variants to Metrics for more analysis, provided you have access to Cohort Analysis. This helps you to adequately analyze the audience and report on how the marketing affects the behavior of campaigns.

Important considerations

The following are the important considerations:

Some destinations might require a public IP address to authenticate or send data to your SFTP server.
To configure additional destinations, contact Acquia Support or your customer value manager (CVM) if you have the location and credentials available.
